Hello my name is Kasey, and the date is Monday 24th, 2008
First, we went in and got settled in turned in any homework we had. Then, another person from Mrs.Granell's class did the Pledge of Allegiance and the announcements. Next,we got started on our morning work which we have every morning. It is usually pretty easy. Today it was comparing numbers with the signs greater than, less than, or equal to.
The next thing we moved on to was reading two chapters out of Surviving the Applewhites. Then, we had to do some questions on some of the vocab in the book. Sometimes I find that challenging, but we are allowed to use dictionary.com so that makes it pretty easy.
Then, the first and second graders did a really cute show that they are going to do for the Christmas program (notice that I didn't say concert.Mr.Dary hates concerts)! Then, we went out for a recess.
After that we went to P.E. and played a game that was like basketball, soccer, and football. Right after P.E. we went straight to Music. We worked on our show that's coming up in February. It's about Walt Disney World.
When we got back to the class room, Mrs.Truby divided us into teams of three and four, and we did some math centers. I was with Taylor, Brenden, and Connor. We didn't finish before lunch, so we will work on it again tomorrow.
Then, of course we went to lunch, and it was pizza day. We were the last group to lunch so they ran out of pizza. Mr.D said," They will be bringing hot dogs for the people who didn't get pizza. Until they get here, let's go out for recess." When the hot dogs got here it was translated wrong, and someone told someone that we went somewhere else. So they threw all that food away. When they found out that we were just out to recess, it was already time for band. After band, they had some chicken ready for us.
Next, we went into Town Time. Town Time is where we all have our own towns, and Mrs.Truby is the queen of England. She sent us all to America. The goal is to survive and get more points then all the other teams. The people on my team are Nicholas, Jack, Connor, and Erin.
Then, at 3:15 it was time to pack up and go home. It was a busy day as usual!
